Course Description

The fundamentals of direct current including Ohm's Law, Kirchoff's laws and circuit analysis techniques. Emphasis is on circuit analysis of resistive networks and DC measurements. You will analyze DC circuits from the simple to the complex; construct and make measurements of DC circuits from simple to complex; memorize the resistor color code; and identify a resistor by its electronic symbol. A study of the fundamentals of alternating current including series and parallel AC circuits, phasors, capacitive and inductive networks, transformers, and resonance; introduction to filters.
