Course Description

This course is an introduction to theory, principles and practices of managerial accounting, including the use of accounting information to plan, control and provide strategic guidance for decision-making in the firm. Examine different managerial accounting systems and their uses to:

  • solve problems
  • develop corporate strategies

You will also review and discuss case studies of the application of analytical decision-making strategies, and explore the ethics involved in accounting and managerial decision-making.
