Course Description

Teaching English in a Digital World provides you with the knowledge and skills to integrate technology and media into language teaching, while following a four-strand approach to teaching language skills. This class focuses on the practical and effective uses of technology in the classroom. Discussions include:

• technology for specific pedagogies
• current and future trends in technology
• Web 2.0 resources
• teaching in a virtual environment

You will propose, revise, and ultimately complete a specific lesson plan that integrates an element of technology or media within established pedagogy. On completion of the subject, you will have a solid understanding of how to use technologies and media in language classes.
