Course Description

A three-day weekend conference where educators experience strategies to increase student understanding of the natural world, and their role in it, at Joshua Tree National Park. Discussions include:

  • access and inclusion at national parks
  • elements of place-based learning
  • applying the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and other state requirements
  • applying the Environmental Principles & Concepts (EP&Cs)

You will also explore strategies to support learner inquiry, agency, and action.
