Course Description

This course provides a practical overview and introduction to budgeting, accounting principles and practices. Participants will gain a general understanding of debits and credits, accounting and financial terminology, budgeting and expenditures reports, types of financial statements, cash flow analysis, methods for monitoring income and expenditures, systems of internal control, inventory management techniques, and best practices for maintaining a balanced budget and acting as a liaison with other departments.
