Credential: Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Computer Science Education

Thank you for your interest in UCR Extension’s Supplementary Authorization in Introductory Computer Science. To begin the application, please click on “Apply Now”. In order for us to process your application as quickly as possible, please remember to upload your valid, unexpired, CA teaching credential. By applying to UCR Extension’s Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Computer Science Education program, you are indicating that you intend to complete all required courses with a grade of ‘C’ or better, within two (2) years at

UCR Extension and obtain a university certificate at the completion of the program. UCR Extension can only assist students with CTC paperwork whom have completed all of the coursework through UCR Extension.

Supplementary authorizations allow the holder to add one or more subjects to his or her teaching credential. The introductory supplementary added to Single subject teaching credential authorizes the holder to teach at any grade level the supplementary subject matter content typically included in curriculum guidelines and textbooks for study in grades 9 and below. The introductory supplementary added to a Multiple subject teaching credential authorizes the holder to teach departmentalized classes related to the supplementary in grades 9 and below.
