In order to apply you will need to first create an online account. You may edit and save your application up until the point it has been submitted, at which time editing will be locked.

*Important: The University Transfer Program is available for students intending to pursue a major in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, or the School of Business.

 

Step 1: Decide your program length and dates.

 

Step 2: Collect required supporting documents and be prepared to upload them while completing the online application.

 

Supporting Documents:

  1. Copy of your passport photo page.
  2. Proof of English language proficiency (official results from TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo or equivalent)
  3. Copy of high school and college/university transcripts (if applicable).
  4. Statement of Financial Support
  5. Bank statement, in English.

 

F-1 Transfer Applicants:
If you are applying as an F-1 transfer student from another U.S. institution, you must submit copies of your current I-20 form, any previous I-20 forms, I-94 form, and F-1 visa.

 

Change-of-Status Applicants
If you are currently in the United States in a status other than F-1 and intend to file for a change-of status, you must submit copies of your current visa and I-94 form. It is recommended you consult a UCR Extension Immigration Advisor prior to submitting your application.

 

 

Step 3: Complete the program application, upload the applicable supporting documents, and pay the $200 nonrefundable program application fee (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover are accepted online). If you are unable to pay the fee online, follow the wire transfer instructions on the final section of the application. If you are applying through an agency or partner university, be sure to include that information on the online application.

 

To expedite the processing of your application, pay the application fee and upload all required materials (applications will not be processed without receipt of the application fee). After submitting a complete application package, you will receive an email confirmation. It may take up to 10 business days to process your application.

Minimum Age Requirement for Admission to an On-Campus International Program: You must be at least 18 years of age on the first day of your program to be admitted to one of our on-campus (face-to-face) international programs. Special exceptions may be made on a case by case basis for students who are verified to be turning 18 in the first quarter of their program.
