Application Fee

Please Note:  For winter and spring quarters 2021, all instruction will remain online, and students will be unable to enter the U.S. We have temporarily suspended the issuance of I-20 forms until we are able to resume face-to-face instruction. At this time, students can apply for our Professional Certificate and Online University Programs for winter and spring 2021 quarters.

In order to apply you will need to first create an online account. You may edit and save your application up until the point it has been submitted, at which time editing will be locked.

Step 1: Decide your program length and dates.

Step 2: Collect required supporting documents and be prepared to upload them while completing the online application.

Supporting Documents:

  1. Copy of your passport photo page.
  2. Proof of English language proficiency (official results from TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
  3. Copy of university transcripts.
  4. Statement of Financial Support
  5. Bank statement, in English.

F-1 Transfer Applicants:
If you are applying as an F-1 transfer student from another U.S. institution, you must submit copies of your current I-20 form, any previous I-20 forms, I-94 form, F-1 visa, and Transfer Verification Form

Change-of-Status Applicants
If you are currently in the United States in a status other than F-1 and intend to file for a change-of status, you must submit copies of your current visa and I-94 form. It is recommended you consult a UCR Extension Immigration Advisor prior to submitting your application. The UCR Extension Immigration Advising Office can be reached at or in person in Room 238 of the Extension Center.

If you are under 18 years old, your parents or legal guardian must complete the parental release form.

Step 3: Complete the program application, upload the applicable supporting documents, and pay the $200 nonrefundable program application fee (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover are accepted online). If you are unable to pay the fee online, follow the wire transfer instructions on the final section of the application. If you are applying through an agency or partner university, be sure to include that information on the online application.
