Paralegal Studies

Thank you for choosing UCR University Extension! To earn your ABA-Approved Paralegal Studies Certificate, please submit:

1. This application (non-refundable)
2. An official college transcript showing at least:
   • 40 semester units (or 59 quarter units) of coursework
   • 18 semester units (or 27 quarter units) of general education courses in 3+ disciplines (e.g., Social Sciences, English, Math, etc.)
   • At least one English composition course

Once we receive your transcript(s), it will take 10 business days to review your application. Your patience is greatly appreciated during this time.

To expedite the process, please have your university/college submit your official transcript via eTranscript to:

• Official Transcripts and other documentation must be received by UCR Extension by the application deadline.
  • Winter deadline: March 21, 2025 
  • Spring deadline: June 13, 2025
  • Summer deadline: September 13, 2025
  • Fall deadline: December 12, 2025
• Incomplete applications (missing transcripts or other documents) will not be considered. Please plan accordingly to avoid missing the deadline.
• Incomplete applicants will need to reapply and pay the application fee again for future terms.
• Late applications will not be accepted, please apply in the next quarter.
