Course Description

Focusing on different elements of biosecurity, this course explores the challenges, considerations, and methods to implement key components of an overall biosecurity program. This course will also explore historical and current public health challenges and how lessons learned can facilitate pro-active changes to plan for and respond to future problems.

Learner Outcomes

  • Define elements of biosecurity and the challenges and considerations for each element.
  • Describe various case studies to highlight how deficiencies in biosecurity can lead to critical incidents.
