Course Description

This seminar course provides a brief overview of 3 areas: the Being a Leader and the Effective Exercise of Leadership integrity paradigm, good teamwork basics, and strategy for qualitative researchers in business. Readings and discussions will focus on these topics, with an emphasis on solving real world business problems. Students will have the option of completing a project of their choosing (on leadership or teamwork). Through readings and discussions, students will explore the intersection of anthropological knowledge and the world of business.

Learner Outcomes

  • Understand that leadership begins with leading yourself, and that integrity means honoring your word.
  • Apply qualitative research skills to diagnosing teamwork issues.
  • Strategically present the value of qualitative research and their own qualifications, having completed the Business Anthropology course.
