Beginner’s introduction to the electric grid and power systems and their components and the grid-integration of renewable energy generation and energy storage resources.

Learner Outcomes

  • Identify and describe the core concepts and elements in the electric grid;
  • Gain a basic understanding of electric circuits, voltage, current, and power
  • Gain a basic understanding of DC and AC and three phase power systems
  • Gain a basic understanding of renewable energy generation resources
