Course Description

This orientation provides individuals interested in obtaining a Designated Subjects teaching credential to become a Career Technical Education or Special Subjects teacher with an understanding of the entire program, including detailed information on the:

  • eligibility requirements
  • an overview of the program’s structure
  • requirements
  • processes for obtaining and clearing the credential.

This orientation is mandatory for applicants entering UCR Extension's Designated Subjects Credential program for a CTE or Special Subjects teaching credential.
