Course Description

It is essential to understand how American organizations operate, the roles and responsibilities assigned to individuals, and how those responsibilities align with broader organizational goals to succeed. Participants will examine American workplace culture by observing, analyzing, and gaining practical experience. Through hands-on internship activities, weekly interactive reflections, and classroom discussions, learners will explore key aspects of workplace operations, behavior, and culture while developing essential soft skills—including teamwork, emotional intelligence, communication, relationship-building, problem-solving and time management. Practical, ethical, and workplace-appropriate uses of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance productivity, communication, and decision-making are explored. Participants will document their internship experiences, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSAOs), along with their professional competencies, to strengthen their resumes, portfolios, online professional presence, and long-term career development goals.
