Course Description

A healthy work environment is critical to the success of an organization. Employees who enjoy their job have better attendance, and are more productive in their job functions. This course examines the strategies and techniques supervisors can use to ensure organizational values, goals, and objectives are met--even in the presence of organizational discord or management conflict. You will also explore the role of diversity in the workplace, and how to create an environment in which men and women of different cultural, ethnic, religious, socioeconomic backgrounds, and disabilities can work together in a harmonious atmosphere. Discussions include:

  • identifying, understanding, and managing differences between self and others
  • developing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • accepting and providing feedback
  • problem solving techniques
  • creating an environment of inclusion
  • supporting diversity and inclusion
  • meeting organizational goals
