CS 892.01 - Video Game Design, Development and Production Workshop

Course Description

Ideal for those who have completed UCR Extension’s Video Game Design and Content Creation Summer Academy, this program further enhances the artistic skills and technical techniques required for many aspects of video game creation and development. You will learn both the intermediate and advanced principles of video game ready code and art, including:

• modeling
• texturing
• animation through the use of Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and the Unity 3D Game Engine

Geared for those interested in developing a specialization pertaining to the creation, refinement, and optimization of existing video game assets and code elements, you will gain experience in working in teams leading to creating a functioning video game.

Note:  This is a hybrid course with a combination of classroom and online instruction.  There will be 9 classroom meetings scheduled at the UCR Extension Center, and the balance of the coursework will be completed online.
