Course Description

An introduction to the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. While considering the psychologists and studies that have shaped the field, you will explore and apply psychological theories, key concepts, and phenomena associated with such topics as:

  • the biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception,
  • earning and cognition
  • motivation
  • developmental psychology
  • testing and individual differences
  • treatment of abnormal behavior
  • social psychology

You will employ psychological research methods, including ethical considerations, as they use the scientific method, analyze bias, evaluate claims and evidence, and effectively communicate ideas.

AP Summer Institute spotlights the latest instructional strategies for teaching Psychology. This course will be taught online July 22-25, 2024. Early bird discount cost is $600 (before June 21) and $650 (after June 21). There are 3 units of credit (optional) for an additional $150. Registration closes Friday, July 5. Register via Cvent.
