EDUC 892 - Identifying and Preventing the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children: Warning Signs and Trauma

Course Description

This training program consists of four modules designed to raise awareness of human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. This is Module 2 of 4, and covers the following training areas, teaching the Resource Family to:

• identify the warning signs of commercially sexual exploitation of children and human trafficking
• become familiar with the key aspects of the recruitment and the exploitation process
• understand why it is difficult to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking
• become familiar with the basic language of traffickers

The objectives of the four training modules are to prepare to provide mentoring support and aid to the children and youth in the Resource Family's care.
