Course Description

Neurofeedback is an effective, non-invasive intervention that helps reduce symptoms of ADHD, cognitive decline, depression, anxiety, pain management, sleep disorders, conduct disorders, and trauma by training or re-training the brain.  We will begin with a basic introduction to the neuroscience behind the effectiveness of neurofeedback, and then examine: neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to continue to change over our lifetime); the effect of trauma on the brain/body and ways to reduce the negative effects of trauma; and discuss the consequences of auditory and visual processing difficulties in adults, including effective interventions.  Learn how the use of neurofeedback helps adults improve memory, attention and focus, lessen chronic pain, and ward off cognitive decline in aging.  A live demonstration will be provided to experience the neurofeedback process.
