Course Description

We will discuss how to harness the dynamic power of the brain to improve memory, attention and focus, lessen trauma/pain, and ward off cognitive decline. Based on the scientific principles of neuroplasticity, this course will begin with a basic introduction of how individuals of all ages can reduce symptoms of ADHD, cognitive decline, depression, anxiety, pain management, sleep disorders, conduct disorders, and trauma by training the brain. Discussions will include the use of neurofeedback as an effective, non-invasive intervention for longer-term brain challenges, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, generalized anxiety, and insomnia. We will examine the brain’s ability to change throughout the lifetime, the effect of trauma/pain on how the brain/body functions, and auditory/visual processing difficulties that may be hidden limitations to living your best life.
