Course Description

Social conflicts are everywhere in classroom environments. It is important for educators to remember that solving social problems is not just a struggle for children, but adults as well. Learning how to manage social conflict is important for children when going about their day in our preschool classrooms, and it is an import life skill. It is important for educators to continuously observe for teachable moments when children are having conflicts in the classroom, find potential solutions, reach a consensus, and implement the agreed upon solution.

  • Engage children in generating solutions to common classroom challenges.
  • Post visual reminders about the problem solving steps.
