EDUC X88.62 - Understanding Children of Crisis, Violence and Loss in Home and Educational Settings

Course Description

Children who are traumatized by violence, a crisis, and/or significant personal loss often face great difficulty adapting to and recovering from these events. An inability to concentrate and feeling of fear, insecurity and acting out behaviorally can negatively impact children's ability to learn and interact appropriately with others. This workshop will present ways educators and other professionals can assist children in a variety of settings who have experienced crisis, violence and/or tragedy in their lives.
