Course Description

A continuation of the learning principles and practice of Iyengar yoga. Prepare to:

  • add balancing poses, twists and breathing techniques
  • learn the classical Sanskrit term and meaning for each pose
  • practice adaptations to poses and their variations
  • study the physical and mental health benefits of the poses

Students are required to complete four quarters of this course, for a total of 8 units.
 

 

Prerequisites

Students must complete 4 quarters of Iyengar Yoga Part I, or have approval from the department, in order to begin Iyengar Yoga Part II.
