Course Description

An in-depth look at Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometric concepts. Topics include basic ideas of geometry, polygon relationships, patterns of polygons (tessellations), measurement (length, area and volume), motions in geometry, magnification and similarity, topology and number patterns. Ideas and concepts are explored through group work, hands-on manipulatives, and the use of technology like LOGO or Geometer's Sketchpad.

For teaching mathematics in middle and high school classrooms.
