Course Description

Surveys current practices in logistics management including purchasing, transportation, warehousing and inventory control. Participants examine core principles and functions as well as best practices, costs, inventory control, modernizations, staffing, supervision, technology including barcode and RFID systems, quality assurance, organizational development, vendor relations and outsourcing. Includes discussion of issues and dynamics in the Inland Empire and the State of California as well as national and international trade.
