Participants survey the major aspects of labor-employee relations in union and non-union environments. Topics include:
- Constructive employee discipline and employee relations issues
- Current laws and compliance; the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), sexual harassment, discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Wrongful discharge
Time is also given to discuss strategies to help maintain proactive communication with employees and current issues in employee relations.
