Course Description

This course covers applicable techniques and materials for subject areas and academic skill problems in reading, language, and for general study skills. A strong emphasis is placed on the development of self-monitoring skills and strategies, and on general problem-solving techniques, as well as on the acquisition of vocabulary and content knowledge. Parent and family support strategies are suggested. The role of the educational therapist involves individual case management, and the development of appropriate compensatory strategies for the client with learning disabilities to use in various settings.
